  1. Requirements

Renting requires a valid ID and a driver’s license for the equipment, when applicable; a signed rental agreement; a security deposit; insurance when required; and payment before receiving the equipment. For specialized equipment, proof of experience or training may be requested.

  2. Rental Period

The minimum rental is 24 hours. A week equals 7 days and a month equals 30 days. With a driver or operator, the workday is 8 hours; additional hours are charged at $100 per hour.

  3. Fuel

Equipment is delivered with a full diesel tank and must be returned the same way. Otherwise, a $350 charge applies.

  4. Customer Responsibility

The customer is responsible for damage caused by negligence, misuse or improper handling during the rental, as set out in the agreement.

  5. Delivery and Pickup

The customer may pick up the equipment or request transport, with charges based on distance and equipment type (from $100 each way, plus applicable tolls).

  6. Driver or Operator

Service with a driver or operator has a different rate. Some equipment must be operated by authorized personnel: the potable water truck and the flatbed.

  7. Weekends and Holidays

The rental rate is the same. Services with a driver or operator on those days carry additional charges.

  8. Late Return

Equipment must be returned on the agreed date and time. Unauthorized delays may result in charges.

  9. Authorized Use

The equipment may only be used for the agreed work. Assigning, subletting or allowing operation by unauthorized persons is not permitted.

  10. Availability

All rentals are subject to availability and confirmation by Rentek LLC.

  11. Taxes and Charges

Prices do not include IVU sales tax or charges for transport, fuel, overtime or other services.

  12. Inspection

The equipment is inspected at delivery and at return.

  13. Water Services

Water is not included. Refills and supply trips are charged separately.

  14. Incidents and Breakdowns

Any incident or breakdown must be reported to Rentek LLC immediately. No repairs may be made without authorization.

  15. Deposit

The deposit depends on the equipment: water trucks and Hino, $500; dump truck and Bobcat, $750; grapple truck and bucket truck, $1,000; flatbed, not applicable. It is refundable 3 to 5 business days after return and inspection, provided there is no damage or pending charges.

  16. Cancellations

With 48 hours or more notice, no charge (full refund). Between 24 and 48 hours, 25% of the rental. With less than 24 hours, 50%. Same day or once the service has started, no refund. The deposit is refunded if the equipment was not delivered and there are no pending charges. If Rentek LLC cancels, everything not provided is refunded in full.

  17. Bad Weather

With light rain, the rental continues if it is safe to operate. In severe conditions, work is suspended and may be rescheduled subject to availability. Credits for unused time are evaluated according to the agreement. If Rentek LLC determines it is not safe to operate, a new date or a refund for the service not provided is offered.

  18. Insurance

For rentals without a driver or operator, the customer must provide proof of a valid insurance policy covering the equipment and its operation.
